Khelo India University Games: Top Judokas Shine on Day 3

Udaipur, Nov 28, 2025 - It was an exhilarating day for all as the third day of judo at the Khelo India University Games unfolded inside the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Indoor Stadium, Udaipur, on Thursday. With adrenaline running high, top university judokas clashed in a thrilling display of skill, strength and strategy. Every bout was a nail-biter, as athletes across weight categories battled fiercely to secure their place on the podium.

Men’s Judo Results

● 90 kg Category

1. Gold: Akshit Tokas – Delhi University
2. Silver: Kunal – MD University
3. Bronze: Ayush Dutt – BRKT University; Prakhar – MJP University

● 100 kg Category

1. Gold: Rakesh Gill – GND University
2. Silver: Mubashir P – CUK
3. Bronze: Arjun Ajit Kumar – MGUK; Vishnu Sharma – RU

Women’s Judo Results

● 57 kg Category

1. Gold: Akshita Sharma – Punjab University
2. Silver: Haobijam Shubhashini Devi – MANU
3. Bronze: Priya – RU

● 70 kg Category

1. Gold: Kidem Tbaganbi Chanu – LP University
2. Silver: Gagabam Deepapati Devi – GND University
3. Bronze: Tajim Fayaz – DU; Diksha Sharma – CCS University

● 78 kg Category

1. Gold: Harmanpreet Kaur – PUP University
2. Silver: Kashish Dagar – DU
3. Bronze: Janvi – MSUS; Nandhana Prasad – MGUK

Udaipur Nagar Nigam Commissioner Abhishek Khanna, MLSU Registrar VC Garg, and Rajasthan University Registrar Dharmendra Rajoura presented the medals and certificates to the winners. A colourful cultural performance was organised by the Tourism Department.

Meanwhile, Udaipu r is also gearing up for the beach volleyball competitions starting in the city from Friday. A puja was performed at the sports ground before the players’ practice session, according to District Sports Officer Dr Mahesh Paliwal.

Eight special lanes have been prepared for kayaking and canoeing competitions on Fateh Sagar which will begin on December 2.
