July 2, 2025 - The player auction for the second edition of the Delhi Premier League (DPL) T20 will be held on July 5. Among the list of players up for auction, two special names are attracting significant attention — the nephew of legendary batsman Virat Kohli and the son of former explosive opener Virender Sehwag. Interestingly, both young cricketers share the same first name: Aryaveer/Aryavir.

According to the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA), the league is likely to begin by the end of this month. The first edition of the DPL was a major success.

Aryaveer Kohli is the son of Virat’s elder brother, Vikas. He is currently training under Raj Kumar Sharma, who was also Virat’s childhood coach.

Sehwag’s elder son, named Aryavir, has already made it to Delhi’s Under-19 team. The 17-year-old drew attention after scoring a remarkable 297-run innings against Meghalaya.

According to reports, apart from Aryavir, Sehwag’s younger son, 15-year-old Vedant, has also registered his name for the DPL auction. Aryavir is a batsman while Vedant is an off-spinner.
