Chess in Lakecity players gave a commendable performance at the Saharanpur International Rating All India Open Chess Tournament 2015.

President Rajeev Bhardwaj informed that the competition ran from 9^th to 13^th September in which players Kapil Dhadhich secured 21^st rank and Sudhakar secured 39^th rank and won Rs. 12,000 and Rs. 3000 cash, respectively. Alongside, the Chessmen Chess Academy secured the 9^th position in the team championship.

Secretary and Trainer Vikas Sahu said that the chess players who hiked their FIDE rating were Kapil Dhadhich, Sudhakar, Dhruv Dak, Arun Kataria, Bhavesh Pandiyar, Chinmay Jain, Hemendra Singh Makwana, Chandrajeet Singh Rajawat. Also, performance by Monika Sahu, Kunal Chabbra, Alpesh Patni, Gautam Kataria, Parul Rathore, Lakshmi Odh and Rohit Odh was satisfactory.
