As a part of the events organised to celebrate the 62^nd birthday of Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, the Communal Unity Foundation organized a friendly Cricket Match between MLA XI and Lakecity Press Club XI. The match was played today, May 6 also in celebrations of the Communal Unity Week.

The match was scheduled to be under the 20-20 format, but due to rain showers, it was cut short to 12 overs in each inning.

The toss was won by MLA XI and they elected to bat. Captain Ravindra Pal Kappu opened the inning and made 35, with the team scoring a total of 72 in 12 overs. Replying to the target, Lakecity Press Club XI scored the required runs in a mere 10 overs. Kuldeep scored 24, Narendra 17, Kapil Shrimali 13 and Pratap 10.

Abdul Kadir, the organizer of the event welcomed the guests. The event was led by Kachru Lal Chaudhry and Chief Guests were Neelima Sukhadia, President, Urban District Congress.

Special guests were Laxmi Narayan Pandya, Dilip Sukhadia, Chanda Suhalka, Kaushal Nagda, Joji Meghwal and Dr. Kamlendra. The prize distribution was conducted by the guests.
