At the 2^nd Freedom Fighter Shailesh Chadhar Memorial International Open FIDE Rating Chess Championship, Lakecity player Rajendra Teli secured 2^nd position in veteran category and won Rs. 5000 cash.

Chess in Lakecity President Rajeev Bhardwaj informed that the championship was organized in Guwahati from 14^th to 18^th August in which Rajendra Teli overall got the 9^th rank with 20 hikes points.

He defeated Praneet Malhotra, Vikramjeet Dhar, Nitish Das, Bangladesh’s FIDE master Mohammad Fahad Rehman, Chaineeram Pegu and Chingai Singh after 9 rounds and gained 6 points.
