Maharana Pratap Khelgaon society holds 13th executive meeting
The 13th executive meeting of the Maharana Pratap Khelgaon Society took place on Thursday, September 26,2024, at the district collectorate conference hall. The meeting was chaired by District Collector Arvind Poswal.
District Sports Officer and Society member Dr. Mahesh Paliwal shared that the focus of the meeting was on enhancing sports facilities in Udaipur's Sports Village. Several key decisions were made, including new development projects and the repair of the existing swimming pool.
The meeting also approved the construction of a shed, 25 and 50-meter shooting ranges, and two clay tennis courts. Additionally, it was decided to acquire a roller, grass-cutting machine, side screens, and to build toilets and a pavilion for the cricket ground.
New machines for the recently constructed gym building will also be purchased. The Udaipur Development Authority (UDA) is set to invest approximately Rs 12 crore for the development of the Sports Village.
In terms of maintenance, it was decided that security, cleanliness, and regular upkeep of the Sports Village will be managed at the society level. The UDA will provide Rs 90.80 lakh for these initiatives.
The main cricket ground, recently developed by the UDA and currently operated by the society, will have a booking fee of Rs 8,000/- for daily use. On government holidays, the fee will increase to Rs 10,000/-, and for each slot of 3 hours and 30 minutes, the cost will be Rs 4,000/-.
