In the 12th match of the season, they secured their first victory by defeating Kolkata by 8 wickets on Monday, March 31. This win has affected four teams in the points table. After their first win, MI has jumped from 10th to 6th place in the latest standings.

Mumbai Indians had a poor start to the season. They lost their first match against CSK and then suffered a 36-run defeat against GT. However, with a big win against KKR, MI has also improved their net run rate.
