Udaipur's Mitansh Selected for SGFI National Chess Championship
Mitansh Sahu, a Class 10 student of MDS Senior Secondary School, finishes in the top five during Jaipur SGFI selection camp
Udaipur, Dec 3, 2025 - Mitansh Sahu, a Class 10 student of MDS Senior Secondary School, Udaipur, has been selected to play in the upcoming School Games Federation of India (SGFI) National Chess Championship to be held in Bengaluru. Demonstrating excellent strategy, patience and gameplay, he secured a place among the top five players in the State SGFI chess selection camp held in Jaipur.
Dr Shailendra Somani, Director of MDS Public School, congratulated Mitansh on this selection and has expressed confidence that he will showcase outstanding performance at the national level and bring pride to both Udaipur and Rajasthan.
The Chess in Lakecity members, including mentor Tushar Mehta, president Rajiv Bhardwaj, Nilesh Kumawat, Manish Chandalya, Rajasthan State Chess Executive Member, chess coaches Vikas Sahu and Kushal Patel, have extended their best wishes to Mitansh.
