Mohan Lal Sukhadia University has defeated J.N.V Jodhpur University by 2-0 in the third day of West Zone Inter University Football Tournament. The victory of MLSU has qualified the team for All India Inter Zonal Football Tournament.

Chunnilal Chanderia, media spokesperson informed that, “With the goals by Balram and Hafiz, MLSU has registered its historical victory. In the morning session, MLSU beat Gyan Vihar Univ Jaipur by 8-0. Goals by MLSU’s strikers Hafiz (3), Balram (3), Ashish (1) and Puneet (1) brought glory for the team.”

Magan Singh, International footballer and Arjuna Award Winner was welcomed by Prof Dariyav Singh Chundawat and Dr. Deependra Singh Chouhan.

In other matches J.N.V Univ Jodhpur won the match against M.D.S Univ Ajmer by 3-1 and qualified for league matches.

Match between Goa Univ and North Maharashtra Jalgaon Univ ended in tie as both teams scored 2-2 goals. Later in tiebreaker North Maharashtra Jalgaon Univ won with 8-9.

In evening session, former champion Mumbai University defeated North Maharashtra Jalgaon Univ by 5-2.

Symbiosis Univ Pune won the match against V.N.S.G Univ Surat by 1-0, whereas Shivaji University, Kolhapur has made into first four by defeating Symbiosis Univ by 4-0.

On Sunday 17^th Nov at 7:30 AM, the second league match will be played between Mumbai University and Shivaji University, Kolhapur.

Later in the afternoon at 3:00 PM, host team MLSU will clash with Mumbai University at MB Ground (A) and at the same time Shivaji University will play with J.N.V University Jodhpur at MB Ground (B).
