MLSU men’s chess team put up a stellar performance to be ranked sixth in the inter-university chess championship. This is the first time in MLSU’s history that it has managed to secure a top-6 position.

The championship was held last week at Barkatullah University, Bhopal. MLSU Sports Board incharge, Dr Deependra Singh Chauhan informed that MLSU secured the sixth spot out of 52 participating teams in the event. The team scored 12 points in 9 matches.

Members of the team include: Suraj Sahu, Gaurav Jain, Gajendra Joshi, Dhiraj Nihalni, Bhavya Gehlot and Dhavalraj Kumawat. Rahul Vyas was the team manager.
