Mohun Bagan Boost Ahead of ISL as Star Footballer Set to Join the Squad

The club’s star footballer Ashish Rai has been ruled out of the entire season due to a knee injury. This has come as a big blow for the Green and Maroons.

Sources close to the club say that after Ashish was ruled out, talks began between Mohun Bagan and Kerala Blasters regarding Amay Ranawade. The discussions have moved in a positive direction, and the Green and Maroon management are ready to take the player on loan. If everything goes as planned, an official announcement is expected very soon.

All eyes will now be on Amay Ranawade and whether he can fill the gap left by Ashish Rai.

Amay Ranawade, 27, began his football career in 2011 at the AIFF Elite Academy. He represented the India Under-17 team from 2011 to 2013 and later played for the India Under-20 team from 2013 to 2015.
