Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, CBSE and Maharashtra register impressive victories on opening day of 69th National School Hockey Championship (U-19 Boys)
Udaipur, Jan 13, 2026 - Thrilling matches across various grounds were witnessed on Monday (January 12) during the 69th National School Hockey Championship (Under-19 Boys category), being organised at PM Shri Fateh Senior Secondary School in Udaipur.
In the inaugural match at MB College Ground, Andhra Pradesh faced Puducherry. After winning the toss, the former took control of the game from the very beginning and maintained dominance throughout. Displaying aggressive gameplay, Andhra Pradesh registered a convincing 9-0 victory.
At the Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon AstroTurf ground, Odisha and Karnataka competed in an intense match. Odisha showcased excellent coordination and strategy, defeating Karnataka 4-2.
On BN College Ground A, CBSE defeated IPSC 5-1 while at the BN College Ground B, Maharashtra beat Tamil Nadu 4-1.
