Udaipur, January 21, 2025 - The Rajasthan Sports Council has issued a new order assigning sports managers, chief sports officers, and sports officers to oversee cleanliness and security at Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Stadium. This comes after reports of illegal activities and unauthorized stays within the stadium.

Issues at SMS Stadium

Two days ago, empty liquor bottles and injections were found in various areas of SMS Stadium. It was also revealed that several people had been staying illegally on the premises. In response, a committee was formed, and four members of the Sports Council were issued notices for the situation.

New Responsibilities

Under the new order, sports managers and officers will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and security at SMS Stadium on different days of the week. Their duties include supervising cleanliness arrangements, checking the condition of sports hostels, inspecting food, accommodation, and housekeeping, and monitoring vehicle parking.

Night Inspections and Reporting

The officers will conduct surprise inspections at night to ensure all arrangements are in place. They are required to report their findings to the Secretary in the morning. This step is aimed at ensuring proper maintenance and safety at the stadium and surrounding facilities.
