The new track veteran premier league (20-20) is about to start from 20th October under the banner of Maharaj Shatrudhaman Singh Shivratri Vidhyapeeth Sansthan. This will be the second year of its kind of league in the city.
The new track veteran premier league (20-20) is about to start from 20th October under the banner of Maharaj Shatrudhaman Singh Shivratri Vidhyapeeth Sansthan. This will be the second year of its kind of league in the city.
The league will be organized at shikarbadi and it will be on the pattern on IPL. 8 teams will participate in this league named as Udaipur Royal Red, Udaipur Royals Blue, Marble cricket club, Sonnet cricket club, Paragon cricket club, Old stone, Grey rotarians and Pacific Hunters.
The unique thing of this league will be that the all the players will be above 35 years of age, informed by Mahipal Singh, Convener of the league during the press conference.
Mahipal also added that all these 8 teams will be divided into 2 groups of four teams each and two matches will be played in a day. As all the players will above 35 year of age so for their convenience the matches will be played only weekends at Shikarbadi.
The inaugural ceremony will be held tomorrow evening after 5 pm at Shikarbadi but the matches will starts from 20th October and the league will continue till 10th November.
Vivek bhaan singh, Kuldeep Mathur, Najmul Husain, Liyaqat Husain and Mohammad Ilyas all the senior Ranji players will also play this year, said Mahipal Singh.
All the information was shared by Mahipal Singh, Convener in the conference today held at hotel Vishnupriya with Puneet Saxena, Media incharge, Ghanshyam Singh, organizer and Jagdish Muhapa, convener. Prashant Agarwal, Director Narayan Seva Sansthan was the chief guest.
