Udaipur's upcoming football star Rudra Pratap Singh (21) has been picked up by the AU Rajasthan Football Club.

Rudra, who has been playing this sport since 8 years now, has his vision set on becoming a professional footballer and during his journey to his current club, has achieved many a success.  Before being selected by AU Rajasthan FC, Rudra has also played for Minerva Punjab FC who were winners in the last season of i-League 2nd Division.

Gafoor Khan, who has coached Rudra all through his career, said that Rudra is the first player from Udaipur to have been selected for the i-League 2nd Division Tournament. Being under Gafoor's mentorship, Rudra has shown his brilliance across tournaments in the past.

Previously known as the National Football League 2nd Division, the I-League 2nd Division is known as Hero 2nd Division League.  It is the second highest overall division in the Indian Football league system and was introduced in 2008. 18 teams play in the I-League 2nd Division tournament and Rudra has left for Jammu and Kashmir to play his first match of the league on 27 January. His team will be playing away matches on 27 January against Lonestar Kashmir, 31 January against Punjab FC, his previous team, Jamshedpur FC on 5 February,  ATK on 9 February and Garhwal FC on 16 February. His home matches will be played against the same teams at the Ummed Singh Stadium in Jodhpur.
