The one-day Dussehra Open Chess Tournament, hosted by Chessman Chess Academy and CIL International School, was successfully held at Lakhara Chowk Computer Child Academy School. The tournament saw participation from a total of 66 players across various age categories.
The event was organized in two main categories: Category A, which included players under 5, 7, 9, and 11 years, and Category B, comprising players under 13, 15, 17 years, and senior participants. The competition was overseen by judges Suraj Sahu, Kushal Patel, and Disha Sisodia.
During the closing ceremony, Kapil Sahu, the organizing secretary, highlighted the tournament's success and announced that the chief guest, Yashwant Mehta, presented awards to all participants. The chief judge, Bhavesh Padiyar, declared Param Vadhwani as the champion in Category A after six rounds of intense competition. Bhavya Gehlot claimed the title in Category B.

Such tournaments will be organized every month, aiming to engage and promote chess among enthusiasts of all ages. On this occasion, Rajendra Teli, Vice President of Rajasthan State Chess, Rajeev Bhardwaj, President of Chess in Lake City, Nilesh Kumawat, Manish Chandaliya, and other members of the Rajasthan State Chess Executive Committee, along with chess coaches Vikas Sahu and Kushal Patel, conveyed their best wishes to all participants and organizers.
