Over 1,000 Players Participate in State Kabaddi in Udaipur

The 72nd Rajasthan State Senior Men’s and Women’s Kabaddi Championship is being held under the aegis of the District Kabaddi Association, Udaipur

Udaipur, Dec 27, 2025 - The 72nd Rajasthan State Senior Men’s and Women’s Kabaddi Championship was inaugurated on Friday (December 26) by Rajya Sabha MP Chunnilal Garasiya as the Chief Guest. The programme, held under the aegis of the District Kabaddi Association, Udaipur, commenced with Udaipur Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena lighting the ceremonial lamp.

Following this, players from various districts participated in a march past carrying their respective district flags. The march past was attended by Organising Committee Chairman Pramod Samar, BJP City District president Gajpal Singh Rathore, BJP Rural District president Pushkar Teli, senior BJP leader Bhanwar Singh Panwar, District Kabaddi Association president Surendra Singh Khanuja, Organising Secretary Jalam Chand Jain, District Olympic Association president Vinod Sahu, social workers Jayantilal Rathore and Roshan Patel, Rajasthan Kabaddi Association Secretary Abdul Jabbar, and Treasurer Kailash Saini.

Initially, District Kabaddi Association Secretary Mukesh Jain, Satyanarayan Singh, and Shyam Sundar Sharma welcomed the guests with traditional Mewari pagdis and shawls. The programme was conducted by Alok Pagaria.

Providing details, Secretary Mukesh Jain said players from all participating teams first underwent weight measurement after which draws were conducted and gropus formed. A total of 34 district teams, including the Rajasthan Police team, are participating in the championship, involving more than 1,000 male and female players.

  • Hanumangarh defeated Jhalawar by 32 points
  • Sirohi defeated Pali by 15 points
  • Tonk defeated Jhunjhunu by 11 points
  • Rajsamand defeated Jalore by 7 points
  • Sikar defeated Bundi by 15 points
  • Rajasthan State Sports Council defeated Bundi by 27 points

Women’s Matches 

  • Nagaur defeated Rajsamand by 34 points
  • Churu defeated Bikaner by 5 points in a close contest
  • Sirohi defeated Bundi by 42 points
  • Rajasthan State Sports Council defeated Ajmer by 26 points
  • Barmer defeated Jodhpur by 10 points
