Udaipur, April 11, 2025: South African fast bowler Corbin Bosch has been banned for one year by the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Bosch had withdrawn his name from PSL 2025, which led to the ban. The right-arm pacer was picked by Peshawar Zalmi in the PSL draft.
However, later Bosch signed with the IPL franchise Mumbai Indians as a replacement for injured Lizard Williams. This year, the schedules of the Pakistan Super League and IPL clashed, so Bosch chose to play in the IPL. Due to this, he was banned from playing in the 2026 PSL edition.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) also sent a legal notice to Bosch, accusing him of breaking the contract. In its statement, the PCB said that the 30-year-old Bosch has apologized to the fans and accepted the one-year ban given by the board.
Bosh’s Statement
Corbin Bosh said, "I deeply regret my decision to withdraw from the PSL, and I sincerely apologise to the people of Pakistan, the fans of Peshawar Zalmi, and the entire cricket community. I understand that my actions have caused disappointment. I especially apologise to the loyal fans of Peshawar Zalmi for letting them down."
He added, "I take full responsibility for my actions and accept the punishment, which includes a fine and a one-year ban. This has been a tough lesson for me, but I am ready to learn from it. I hope to return to the PSL in the future with more dedication and earn the trust of fans again."
Bosh in the News in IPL
Corbin Bosh has played 86 T20 matches so far and has taken 59 wickets. In IPL 2025, he has not yet played a match for the Mumbai Indians. However, he made headlines when he caught the catch of Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant as a substitute fielder.
PSL Begins
