On the memorable day of 15th August a cricket match was organized between District Municipal Corporation and Lake City Press Club. Parshad 11 wins the match defeating Lake City Press Club at Hotel Shikarbadi Ground.

Captain of Parshad 11, Dhanpal Swami won the toss and invited Press Club to bat first. Initially it was 20 over s match but due to rain the number of overs was reduced to 15.

Press Club opening batsmen Narendra Purbia and Nirmal Chobisa exhibited good batting; Purbia scored 20 runs in 15 balls with 4 fours while Chobisa settled for 7 runs in 25 balls. Both batsmen were run out.

Savan Doshi of Press Club scored maximum 29 runs and remained on the pitch till end. Bhagwan Lal (1), Mohammad Iliyas (11), Chanchal Sanadhya (11) scored respectively. However Sanjay Khabya got out without opening his account.

Press Club scored 93 runs in 15 overs.

Parshad 11 grabbed the target by losing only 3 wickets. Rakesh Khokhawat was the most impressive player who scored massive 44 runs in just 35 balls and remained not-out. While Manohar Singh (8), Ajay Porwal (1), Bhanvar Singh (12) and Raksh Singhvi has added 3 runs to make it a victory for Parshad 11 team.

Man of the Match was awarded to Rakesh Khokhawat by Municipal Corporation Chairman Rajni Dangi.
