A Cycle Race for children was organized today evening by the Mewar Cycle Club, Udaipur under the aegis of the Thakur Prithvi Singh Gahlot Society.

The race saw excellent participation and began at 5 pm today from outside the Rajeev Gandhi park at Rani Road. The 13 km race routed through Mulla talai, Shiksha Bhawan, UIT Circle, Rani Road on its way back to Rajeev Gandhi Park.

Vaibhav Sukhwal won the first prize and took home a cheque of Rs. 5,100, a sports cycle and a trophy. Pushkar Singh Sisodia, who stood second, bagged a prize money of Rs. 2,100 a bicycle helmet and a trophy. Praveen Chowdhary stood third and won a prize of cheque of Rs. 1,100 along with a biking costume and a trophy.

The participants, who took the 4^th to 20^th position, got a consolation prize of Rs. 300.

The Chief Guest at the event was Lal Singh Jhala, President, District Congress – Rural. The Special Guests were Mahendra Singh Shekhawat, Vice Chairman, Udaipur Municipal Council and Alka Sharma, Director, Central Public School.
