Physically Handicapped Swimmer wins Silver Medal

Jagdish Teli of Udaipur won second place in 12th National Masters Aquatic Championship. Physically handicapped Jagdish took part in the 400 meters freestyle category which he finished in 6 minutes 9 seconds and 34 microseconds.

Jagdish Teli of Udaipur won second place in 12th National Masters Aquatic Championship. Physically handicapped Jagdish took part in the 400 meters freestyle category which he finished in 6 minutes 9 seconds and 34 microseconds.

The competition was organized by Swimming Federation of India in association with Indian Olympic Association and PINA.

Swimming trainer at Khelgaon Udaipur, Jagdish originally hails from Rajsamand District. Jagdish is currently practicing hard for the upcoming para-olympics which is to be held in Belgam from 27-29 Nov; he also wishes to get medal in Olympics.

Sports official Vikram Singh Chandela has informed that Jagdish has won more than 40 medals and has been swimming since 2007. He started his swimming career from Rajsamand Lake where he completed 4.5 km distance in first attempt.

Jagdish Teli is known as top contestant in handicapped categories of IM, Back Stroke and Freestyle.
