The incident happened in the 16th over of LSG's innings. Siraj said something to Pooran. In response, the West Indian batter showed his aggression with the bat. He hit Siraj's next two deliveries hard - first a six over deep midwicket, then a four straight over the bowler’s head.

After the two hard-hitting shots, Pooran sent a flying kiss towards the bowler. Commentator Simon Doull reacted, "What will you say now?"

New IPL Record 

Pooran completed his half-century in just 23 balls. This was the fifth time in IPL 2025 that he scored a 50 in under 25 balls - a new IPL record. Pooran had earlier scored a solid half-century against Gujarat last month, but he was struggling with form in recent matches.

"This happens,” Pooran said later. “I wasn’t playing at my best. But I accepted it and waited for my chance. Today, I made it count."

LSG's Big Total and Win

With Pooran’s unbeaten 56 and Mitchell Marsh’s first IPL century, LSG posted their third-highest IPL score - 235/2. In reply, GT could manage only 202/9 in 20 overs.
