All the State level medal winners of the region will now be getting their prize money within 7 days.This was decided in a meeting in Jaipur where all sports officers were present along with President and Secretary of the Sports Council. Earlier winners used to get their prize money and certificates after waiting for as long as 3 years.

It has been decided that as soon as a person wins a medal, the sports officer will ask the winner to fill up a prescribed form. The amount after it is approved by the concerning sports council will be directly transferred to the bank account of the winner within a week’s time. Until now, a winner had to wait for 3 years to get his certificate and prize money. This decision was taken in a meeting held on Friday between President and Secretary of Rajasthan State Sports Council. All sports officers have been issued instructions to enforce this rule with immediate effect. Stadiums will also be made in Tehsils under Mukhyamantri Tehsil Khel Yojna.

It was also decided that the players will get online transfers of their TA/DA. Sports Council will also monitor sports activities in tribal hostels. District Sports officer will be responsible for coaching and health and nutrition of all players in the tribal hostels. The points for having a regional sports policy for various aspects related to sports were also discussed in the meeting. Suggestions were invited from the sports officers for these policies. Udaipur District Sports Officer Lalit Singh Jhala suggested that talented players should be given the charge on tehsil level to improve the level of sports in these areas. This way the sports stuff required on tehsil level for development will be monitored more effectively.

All district sports officers, President of Sports Council JC Mohanty and Secretary Narayan Singh Shekhawat were present in the meeting.
