PV Sindhu Safe in Dubai, Indian Embassy Provides Support Amid Israel-Iran Tensions
PV Ramana confirmed that PV Sindhu is safe in Dubai, with the Indian Embassy arranging hotel accommodation amid the Israel-Iran tensions. Sindhu earlier shared her concern on social media, saying she is safe but stranded as the situation in the region remains tense.
March 01, 2026: PV Ramana, father of Indian badminton star PV Sindhu, confirmed that his daughter is safe in Dubai during the ongoing Israel-Iran conflict. He said the Indian Embassy in Dubai is assisting her and has arranged hotel accommodation for her stay.
Speaking to ANI over the phone, Ramana shared that he spoke to Sindhu around 3 AM on Sunday. She informed him that embassy officials are taking care of her and ensuring her safety.
“I spoke to my daughter early this morning. She told me the Indian Embassy is supporting her and has arranged a hotel for her,” he said.
Sindhu Shares Her Fear and Concern on Social Media
Earlier, the two-time Olympic medallist posted a message on X expressing her concern over the fast-changing situation. Sindhu said she heard interceptions overhead and saw disturbing visuals, which made the atmosphere tense and frightening.

She described Dubai as a city she loves deeply and one that has always felt safe. That is why the current developments were difficult for her to understand.
Sindhu thanked everyone who reached out to check on her well-being. She assured fans that she is safe but currently stranded in Dubai with her team. She also mentioned that the airport is crowded, with many families waiting as the situation continues to evolve.
She prayed for peace and safety for all those affected by the conflict.
Meanwhile, Iranian state media Press TV reported that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei was killed in Israeli-US strikes. In response, Iran reportedly launched retaliatory strikes in Gulf countries.
