Quarter Finals Day at Inter-University Cricket Tournament

The Quarter final matches between 8 teams of Udaipur in an Inter-University tournament were played today. The event has been organized by College of Commerce, MLSU, at MB College ground.

The tournament started on 20th Sept. 2012 and today was the first Quarter Final match played between Bhupal Nobles and College of Science, MLSU. Bhupal Nobles batted first and scored 148 runs, with a crucial knock of 48 runs by Vinod with the help of 3 sixes.

Science College chasing the score managed to put on board 120 runs and lost the match by 28 runs. Vinod was awarded as man of the match for his supportive inning.

Second Quarter Final match was played between Aishwarya College and College of Law, MLSU. College of Law selected to bat first and put up a target of 118, with the vital inning of Wasim Ahmed.

Aishwariya College chasing the total, scored the given target and won the match with 2 wickets. Wasim Ahmed was declared Man of the Match.

College of Arts, MLSU and Government College, Pratap Nagar clashed in Third Quarter Final of the day where batting first, Government College were bowled out at mere score of 17 runs. Rajendra Singh of Arts college in his deadly bowling spell took 5 wickets.

College of Arts won the match by 10 wickets, chasing the total scored 18 runs in 1 over and Rajendra Singh was given man of the match.

The last and Fourth Quarter final match played between College of Commerce, MLSU and Gurukul College, Pratap Ghad. Commerce College batted first and made the highest total of the tournament 177 runs with the knock of 68 runs from Ritik Wadhwani.

Gurukul, while chasing was bowled out on least total of 15 runs, in which Deepak Vasita took six wickets, conceding 8 runs, Deepak was awarded as man of the match for his standout bowling.

The first Semi Finals will be played between College of Commerce and College of Arts and second Semi Final will be played between Bhupal Nobles and Aishwariya College.
