June 12, 2025 - The final match of the World Test Championship 2025 is being played in London. The first day of this Test between Australia and South Africa has ended. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma won the toss and chose to bowl first. His decision turned out to be right.
In the first innings, the Australian team was all out for 212 runs. This was made possible by Kagiso Rabada's brilliant bowling. He bowled 15.4 overs and took 5 wickets for 55 runs, with an economy rate of 3.30.
Along with this, Rabada created several records. He has now become the fourth-highest wicket-taker for South Africa in Test cricket. He has surpassed Allan Donald on this list. Dale Steyn is at the top with 439 Test wickets. Shaun Pollock is second and Makhaya Ntini is third.
Not only that, Rabada has also become one of the bowlers to take a five-wicket haul in a WTC final. He has equalled Kyle Jamieson, who took 5 wickets against India in the 2021 WTC final.
