Ajmer Makes History: Railways Opens World-Class Rifle Shooting Range

Aug 16, 2025 - August 15, yesterday marked a historic occasion for Indian Railways and the Ajmer Division Sports Association. In Ajmer, the first and only international-level rifle shooting range of Indian Railways was inaugurated by Divisional Railway Manager Raju Bhutada and Women's Welfare Committee president Rinkle Bhutada.

This state-of-the-art facility will serve as a valuable resource for railway employees and sportspersons. The inauguration ceremony was attended by railway officials, members of the Women’s Welfare Organisation, athletes, and other dignitaries.

Pradeep Kumar, Secretary of the Ajmer Division Sports Association and Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer, stated that the rifle shooting range will provide high-level training to athletes, enabling them to perform exceptionally in national and international competitions.

Additionally, this facility will be used for shooting competitions and other sporting events at the Ajmer divisional and regional levels, further enhancing Ajmer Division's reputation in the Indian Railways sports arena.
