The Rajasthan Senior Mens Football Team has left for Hyderabad to participate in the final round of the Santosh Trophy Tournament
Rajasthan will play its first match against Telangana on December 14
Jaipur, December 11: Dilip Singh, Secretary of the Rajasthan Football Association, informed that the Rajasthan Senior Men's team has left for Hyderabad to participate in the final round of the Santosh Trophy tournament.
Udaipur's Rudrapratap Singh will be a part of the team. The first time that Rajasthan had made it to the final round of the Santosh Trophy, was in 2022. In this years preliminary round, Rajasthan scored two wins and maintained one draw to top its group. The 22 member team will be lead by Altaf, and includes Gaurav Kumar (Vice Captain), Nitesh, Yash Goyal, Aman Tyaagi, Imran, Yash Sahni, Mukesh, Ankit Sharma, Rudrapratap, Shakti Singh, Jaidev, Vishal, Arsalan, Anuj Sharma, Dhramraj, Yuvraj Singh, Amit Godara, Rudrraj, Amandeep, Mahipat and Ramniwas.
The teams first match in the final round consisting of 12 top teams of the country, will be against hosts Telangana on December 14. Team Rajasthan will be competing against Bengal, who are 32 time winners of Santosh Trophy, apart from strong teams, viz. last years winners and 7 time champion Services, Manipur, Telangana, Jammu & Kashmir in its group. The schedule for Rajasthan is:
December 14: vs Telangana
December 16: vs Manipur
December 18: vs Bengal
December 21: vs Services
December 23: vs Jammu & Kashmir
Earlier the Association held a 20 day training camp at Royal Football Club, Jaipur, preparing the team for the final round. The support staff in Rajasthan's team consists of Sunil Rao - Team Manager, Dharmendra Sharma - Coach, Narendra Singh - Asst Coach, Gautam Parikh - Team Physio, Satish Jingad - Tech Head and Amarsingh Rathore - Team Co-ordinator.
