RCB Suffers Major Setback | Star Player Injured

India, Nov 10, 025: Unsettling news has come for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) just before IPL 2026. The franchises' captain and star player Rajat Patidar has suffered an injury. Though no official confirmation has been made as yet, the injury to this domestic run machine might lead to him being out of reckoning for the next four months.

As per reports, Rajat got injured during the four-day unofficial Test match between India A and South Africa A. Reports say his recovery could take around four months. In this match, he scored 18 runs in the first innings and 28 runs in the second innings. Because of this injury, Patidar will miss the entire domestic season. If Rajat Patidar does not fully recover and regain fitness by the time IPL 2026 begins, it will hurt the team. Patidar is not only the captain but also a key player for RCB.

Patidar to Miss Multiple Tournaments

Patidar scored a double century in the very first match of the 2025-26 Ranji Trophy as Madhya Pradesh’s captain. Now, he will miss the remaining Ranji Trophy matches. He will also miss two other tournaments: the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (end of November) and the Vijay Hazare Trophy (end of December). This is a big loss for the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association.
