RCB Post Record Total Against CSK
RCB’s batting was outstanding, with strong contributions from Devdutt Padikkal (50 off 29), Rajat Patidar (48* off 19), and Tim David. The team looked set for around 230, but David changed the game in the 19th over by scoring 30 runs against Jamie Overton. He hit four sixes, including a huge 106-meter shot, along with a four, taking RCB to a record total against CSK.
In reply, CSK struggled from the start as Jacob Duffy and Bhuvneshwar Kumar removed the top-order batters early, including captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. Although Sarfaraz Khan and Kartik Sharma added some stability with a 47-run partnership, they could not carry on for long.
Later, Prashant Veer (43 off 29) and Jamie Overton (37 off 16) tried to fight back, but the required run rate was too high. Both batters were dismissed in quick succession, ending CSK’s hopes. Bhuvneshwar picked up his third wicket, while Abhinandan Singh took the final wicket as CSK were bowled out, falling short by 43 runs.
Overall, it was a complete team performance from RCB, with strong batting, key partnerships, and disciplined bowling securing a well-deserved win.
