RCB Women Set WPL Record, Become First Team into Playoffs After Win Over GG
Royal Challengers Bengaluru have become the first team to qualify for the 2026 Womenβs Premier League playoffs after a strong win over Gujarat Giants in Vadodara.
January 20, 2026: Royal Challengers Bengaluru women have made an all-time record in the Womenβs Premier League by winning six consecutive matches. Their latest victory came against Gujarat Giants in their fifth match of the tournament.
Playing at BCA Stadium, Kotambi, Vadodara, RCB delivered an outstanding all-round performance. The team has now won all five of their games this season and remains the only unbeaten team in the league.
With 10 points from five matches, RCB have secured a spot in the playoffs. They are the first team in WPL history to win six matches in a row. Earlier, RCB had a five-match winning streak in 2024β25. The only other team to achieve five consecutive wins is Mumbai Indians, who did it twice in 2023 and 2023β24. RCB women were previously tied with them but have now moved ahead.

RCB Shine with Bat and Ball
Asked to bat first, Bengaluru posted a strong total of 178/6 in their 20 overs. Gautami Naik starred with 73 runs off 55 balls, while Radha Yadav provided a quick cameo of 17 from 8 balls, helping the team set a challenging target.
The RCB bowlers were equally impressive. Sayali Satghare struck early, taking two wickets in the second over, removing Beth Mooney and Sophie Devine. Lauren Bell followed by dismissing Kanika Ahuja, while Nadine de Klerk, Shreyanka Patil, and Radha Yadav also contributed with crucial wickets. De Klerk took two wickets in the match and now leads the purple cap for most wickets in the season.
Gujarat Giants were restricted to 117/8, giving RCB a comprehensive 61-run victory. With this win, RCB have maintained their perfect record this season and ended last season with a win over Mumbai Indians in their final match.
