August 15 2025: Over the last few days, the IPL circuit has been buzzing with talks of Sanju Samson seeking an exit from Rajasthan Royals. While the deliberations are ongoing between Samson, Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings, where Sanju wants to join, the reasons for his intent have not been clear.
Samson's disagreement with the management at Rajasthan Royals has been the key reason for his intent to be released or be made a part of the IPL mini auction in the 2026 season. Samson has apparently not been happy with the release of English player, Jos Butler.
The choice of RR management to part ways with Butler even after the Englishman served RR under Samson for seven seasons has not gone down well with Samson. As per reports the release of Butler has impacted the team as well as relations between Samson and the management. He is hence seeking opportunities with Chennai Super Kings or Kolkatta Knight readers, with the former being preferred.
