Udaipur, January 3, 2025 - In a major gesture for the kayaking players of Udaipur, Member of Parliament (MP) Dr Mannalal Rawat has announced the provision of a rescue boat worth Rs 15 lakh for them. This announcement was made by Chief Guest MP Rawat at the send-off ceremony on January 1 at Fateh Sagar for the team representing Rajasthan at the National Dragon Boat Championship in Delhi.

The championship will be held from today (January 3) to January 6, 2025. Approximately 20 to 25 teams from across the country are participating in the competition, including teams from the Indian Army, BSF, CRPF, SSB, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

The Rajasthan team has been selected for the National Dragon Boat Championship in the Senior Men, Women, and Mixed Categories. This was informed by Rajasthan Kayaking and Canoeing Association chairperson Chandragupt Singh Chauhan and Rajasthan Dragon Boat Team chairman Ajay Agrawal. The players had undergone a month-long training at the kayaking and dragon boat training centre at Fateh Sagar under the guidance of Rajasthan team coach Nishway Singh Chauhan.
