Subsequent to reaching the fourth round of the ongoing French Open, Roger Federer has withdrawn from the competition. This is probably his last appearance at Roland Garros.

"I am thrilled to have gotten three matches under my belt. There is no greater feeling than being back on court." – Roger Federer on Twitter

Federer has undergone two back to back knee surgeries in 2020 and he is playing only his third tournament since the Australian Open in 2020.

With Wimbledon beginning on June 28, 40 year old Federer has taken the call to step out of the court and prepare his tryst with the tournament he loves. This will be his go at taking the ninth Wimbledon title under his belt. After winning the third round, Federer said that he is pacing himself in his recovery.
