Cristiano Ronaldo Creates 24-Season Scoring Record as Felix Hits Hat-Trick in Al Nasr’s 5-0 Win
Udaipur, Aug 30, 2025: Cristiano Ronaldo’s team Al Nasr had no choice but to start the league well after the pain of losing the Saudi Super Cup final. The team made a strong start in their first match of the Saudi Pro League last night.
Al Nasr won against Al Taawon by 5-0. Portuguese midfielder Joao Felix, who joined Al Nasr from Chelsea last month, scored a hat-trick on his league debut. Ronaldo also scored from a penalty. The other goal was scored by Kingsley Coman.
Ronaldo creates a new record
Ronaldo made a unique record by scoring in this match. He became the first footballer in history to score in 24 consecutive seasons. His total goals are now 940, just 60 short of the magical 1000 goals.
After turning 40, Ronaldo has been part of 40 goals. After the match, the Portuguese legend shared photos with the message of “passing the first step.” According to Transfermarkt, 176 of his goals have come from penalties.
But Joao Felix took the spotlight on Ronaldo’s record night. He scored in the 7th minute to give Al Nasr the lead. Then he added goals in the 67th and 87th minutes to complete his hat-trick. In between, Ronaldo and new signing Coman also scored within a minute.
After the international break, Al Nasr will play their next Saudi League match on September 14 against Al Khoud. During the break, Portugal will play two World Cup qualifiers. They face Armenia on September 6 and Hungary on September 10.
