Udaipur's Samishtha and Divya Win Bronze in National Karate

Winners given a grand welcome on return to city for outstanding performance in 4th Kio National Karate Championship 2025 for Cadet, Junior and Sub Junior

Udaipur, June 18, 2025 – Udaipur’s karate champs - Samishta Gehlot and Divya - have brought pride to the city by winning bronze medals in the five-day 4th Kio National Karate Championship 2025 for Cadet, Junior and Sub Junior in Dehradun, Uttarakhand

According to information shared by Sanju Singh, General Secretary of Udaipur District and Technical Director of XMA Rajasthan, Samishta won a bronze medal in the Cadet Revolutionary (14/15) category, and Divya (14) secured a bronze in the Sub-Junior Revolutionary category.

The Rajasthan team was coached by Sanju Singh of Udaipur, Ramesh Saini of Sikar and Vishal Rana of Jaipur with additional assistant coaches. Referees/judges from Rajasthan included Nimai Haldar and Lalit Bairagi.

The victorious players were given a grand welcome on their arrival in Udaipur by officials and family members. Also felicitated were Indian karate team captain Aniket Gupta, Deepika Diwan, XMA Martial Arts Academy India’s Technical Directors Akhtar and Daman, Naveen, Raj Sanchu and all XMA India members as also General Secretary Anil Kalyan.

Karate India Organisation president Bharat Sharma and General Secretary Sanjeev Kumar Jangra have extended their best wishes to the winners.

In this recently-concluded national competition, approximately 109 players from various districts of Rajasthan had participated.
