After taking 3 wickets for 19 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore, he took 4 wickets for just 17 runs against Sunrisers Hyderabad today. This is now his best performance in IPL history. Siraj also completed his 100th wicket in the tournament in this outing. On the day he achieved this big milestone, his team Gujarat Titans also won the match easily.
Easy Chase for Gujarat, Beat SRH by 7 Wickets
Gujarat Titans chased down Sunrisers Hyderabad’s target of 152 runs at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium with 20 balls and 7 wickets in hand. This was Gujarat’s third win in their fourth match of the tournament. On the other hand, this was Hyderabad’s fourth straight loss in IPL 2025.
Steady Partnership by Gill-Sundar
Gujarat had a horrible begining to their chase. They lost 2 wickets for just 16 runs. Captain Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar came to the rescue and stitched a 90-run partnership in just 56 balls for the third wicket, which turned the match in Gujarat's favour.
Washington Sundar, batting at number four, scored 49 runs, while Gill remained unbeaten on 61. Later, Sherfane Rutherford played a quick cameo of 35 runs in just 16 balls.
Hyderabad’s Batting Woes Continue
After losing the toss and being asked to bat first, Hyderabad failed to give a strong start. Travis Head got out for 8 runs to Mohammad Siraj when the team’s score was just 9. Abhishek Sharma scored 18 off 16 balls and was also dismissed by Siraj. Ishan Kishan managed 17 runs before giving his wicket to Prasidh Krishna.
Sai Kishore’s Tight Bowling in Middle Overs
Left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore controlled the game during the middle overs. He bowled a very economical spell and took 2 wickets—Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Reddy—while giving away only 24 runs in his 4 overs.
Cummins Helps Hyderabad Cross 150
In the final overs, Pat Cummins scored 22 unbeaten runs off just 9 balls, helping Hyderabad reach 152. Overall, the team could hit only two sixes in their innings. Prasidh Krishna and Sai Kishore took two wickets each for Gujarat.
