A national level sports tournaments ‘GITS Sports Fiesta 2014’ commenced today at Geetanjali Institutes of Technical Studies (GITS).

Sports coordinator, Dinesh Yadav informed that the tournament was inaugurated by Subodh Kala, assistant chief superintendent, Punjab National Bank, Udaipur. Colleges from various parts of the country have taken part in the sports meet.

Yadav informed that the sports meet consists of cricket, volleyball, football, basketball, kabaddi, table tennis, badminton and athletics.

On the first day of the event, a cricket match between GITS-A vs GITS-B was played, in which GITS-B won the match. In basketball, GITS-B defeated GITS-A by 60-50 whereas Pacific College defeated GITS-A by 47-41.
