Sports Minister visits Khelgaon, assured to make it best in state
State Minister for Sports and Industries, Gajendra Singh Khimsar visited Khelgaon Sports Complex in Udaipur today and inspected the condition and amenities. Khimsar assured to make a new master plan of Khelgaon under expert’s opinion and also said that he will request CM to increase the Rs.14 Crore budget to Rs.25 Crore.

Khimsar assured to make a new master plan of Khelgaon under expert’s opinion and also said that he will request CM to increase the Rs.14 Crore budget to Rs.25 Crore.
Khimsar said that Udaipur Khel Gaon should be the best in Rajasthan. He was accompanied by Randheer Singh Bhindar (MLA Vallabhnagar), Chunnilal Garasiya (Ex Minister), Laxman Singh Ranawat (Vice Chancellor of Sports University), Yadvendra Singh (Personal Secretary to Sports Minister), Narayan Singh (Secretary of Sports Council), Ramniwas Mehta (UIT Secretary), Lalit Singh Jhala (District Sports Officer) and other concerned officials of department.
The sports minister inspected several divisions of sports complex and instructed to provide better facilities. He appreciated the training facilities provided in swimming, basketball and archery sections. “We need to develop the sports complex with the joint support of CSR, Rajasthan Government and on the basis of PPP method,” he said.
He also said that it is necessary to hunt for sports talent and to train them through the best expert coaches to escalate their talents to higher level. He informed that the sports award “Maharana Pratap Puruskar” which was stopped previously will be initiated again to inspire and honor the sports talents.
