National, Dec 20, 2025: When Hardik Pandya has a bat in his hand, he shows no mercy. The South African bowlers felt this strongly in the final match of the T20 series in Ahmedabad. Hardik’s explosive batting completely shattered the Proteas’ bowling attack.

style="text-align:justify">During his aggressive innings, a cameraman was injured by one of Hardik’s powerful shots. Later, the Indian all-rounder showed his human side by checking on the cameraman and giving him an ice pack.

Sanju Samson and Tilak Verma also contributed with the bat in India’s win in the fifth T20I. However, when Hardik Pandya is in full flow, others often fade into the background. He began his innings with a six and scored 31 runs off his first seven balls. He then smashed 27 runs in one over off George Linde. Hardik reached his half-century in just 16 balls and was dismissed in the final over after scoring 63 runs off 25 balls.

Out of his five massive sixes, one flew straight into the cameraman’s area, leading to the unfortunate injury.

It was the 13th over of India’s innings when Hardik Pandya hit a length delivery from Corbin Bosch towards long-off. The ball flew straight into the cameraman’s area, leaving him injured. The Indian dugout was nearby, and head coach Gautam Gambhir looked visibly shocked. Despite the impact, the cameraman remained committed to his duty.

India’s physiotherapist rushed in to attend to him, and the match was briefly halted for a few minutes.

Hardik Shows Sportsmanship

Later, Hardik Pandya personally approached the cameraman. His body language showed regret for the unintentional injury. The cameraman was already holding an ice pack, and Hardik also handed him one as a gesture of concern.

The Indian all-rounder’s humane behaviour was widely praised on social media, with many fans appreciating his sportsmanship and care beyond the game.
