SPSU Cricket tournament Concludes
A three day cricket tournament organized by Sir Padmapat Singhania University (SPSU) ended yesterday on 14 March; SPSU Falcons (3rd Year Civil Engineering Students) grabbed the victory by defeating Black Cavilliers (2nd Year Students), while in other match, Teaching Staff beat non-teaching staff of SPSU.
The three-day Cricket Tournament organized by Sir Padampat Singhania University (SPSU) ended yesterday on 14th March. SPSU Falcons (3rd Year Civil Engineering students) secured victory by defeating Black Cavaliers (2nd Year Engineering students), while in the other match, Teaching Staff beat Non-Teaching staff of SPSU.
The semi finals and finals were organized from 12-14th March at the University campus Cricket Ground.
SPSU Falcons, who had also won the tournament cup in 2012, beat their juniors in a nail biting match by 4 runs. Playing first, SPSU Falcons scored 84, setting a target of 85 in the 16 over game.
Praful Gurjar got the Man of the Match and Shreya Rawal secured the Man of the Series award. The Winning team were awarded a trophy and certificates by the President of SPSU, Ashok Gosh and Vice President Rinu Gosh.
On the final day, a friendly match was also organized between the teaching and the non teaching staff, which was won by the teachers.
Elsewhere, in a football match in Gujarat at PDPU, the SPSU College football team stood runners-up. The students got certificates.
