St Anthony students to take part in CBSE National Chess Tournament
The 15 member team of city’s St. Anthony School left for Kolkata to take part in the CBSE National Chess Tournament which is going to start on 9th Dec and continue till 13th Dec.
The 15 member team of city’s St. Anthony School left for Kolkata to take part in the CBSE National Chess Tournament which is going to start on 9th Dec and continue till 13th Dec.
Hosted by Laxmipat Singhania Academy Kolkata, the team of Udaipur is the only team selected from Rajasthan. The team consisted of players of different age groups viz. under-10, under-14 and under-19 are led by Chess Coach Vikas Sahu.
Principal of the school William D’Souza informed that the under-10 team is captained by Arun Kataria and other players included Tanmay Nalwaya, Prakhar Chaplot, Hardik Dak and Yamish Jain. Under-14 team include Divyanshu Babel (captain), Dhruv Dak, Gautam Kataria, Devash Chechani and Alpesh Patni while Under -19 team has Nikhil Yadav (captain), Kunal Chabra, Kushal Patel, Vandan Lodha and Vedant Sharma.
St Anthony’s under-10 and under-14 team had recently achieved runner up position in CBSE West Zone Tournament held in Pune. Whereas the under-19 team got 4th position.
