State-Level Chess Competition Begins in Udaipur

A cash prize of Rs 51,000 and a trophy will be given to the winners

The three-day state-level FIDE Rated Under-17 chess competition, organized by the Udaipur District Chess Association, has commenced. Participants from 20 districts will take part in the competition, with 118 players vying for victory. Notably, among them, four players have international ratings.

Competition Details

During this three-day event, players will not only engage in intense matches but also stand a chance to be honored. A cash prize of Rs 51,000 and a trophy will be given to the winners. 

The opening day saw a promising start, with several players demonstrating exceptional skill. Raj Kapoor, Ayush Bhojak, Arnav Gupta, Ojas Joshi, Monit Maru, Rishan Jain, Harshvardhan Singh, among others, secured victories in two out of two matches, aligning with their respective ratings and moving forward in the competition.
