Udaipur District Power Lifting Association has organized 33^rd State Level Senior Power Lifting Competition at the Luv Kush Stadium; the tournament was inaugurated by Raghuveer Singh Meena, Member of Parliament earlier this morning.

On the occasion, Meena declared to give Rs. 5 Lac to the association for the uplift of game and purchase of better equipment.

In the inauguration ceremony of Power Lifting Championship held at Luv Kush Stadium at around 10:30 am Raghuveer Meena was called as Chief Guest. In his address during the ceremony, Meena proclaimed the city as a pilgrimage of Power Lifting due to it’s continues achievements in various national and international tournaments.

According the Vinod Sahu, President, District Power Lifting Association, matches of various weight categories in men senior group were organized on the first day, wherein the first competition was held for 59kg weight with around 19 participants.

Sahu added that due to time limitation on the first day, matches of weight category 59, 66, 69, 76, 80, 84, 90 and 93kg were held; while tomorrow on the second day, matches of senior women would be organized under various weight groups. Further, the matches of men weight group of 100, 105, 110 and above would be conducted with closing ceremony and prize distribution.
