72nd State Senior Kabaddi Championship Begins in Udaipur

Udaipur, Dec 26, 2025 - Under the aegis of the District Kabaddi Association, Udaipur, the 72nd Rajasthan State Senior Men & Women Kabaddi Championship commenced on Friday (December 26) at Maharana Bhupal Stadium, Gandhi Ground. The tournament trophy was unveiled on Thursday (December 25) at Bhandari Darshak Mandap by former BJP Rural president Bhanwar Singh Panwar.

The unveiling ceremony was attended by Chairman Pramod Samar, social workers Jayantilal and Vishnu Prajapat, District Olympic Association president Vinod Sahu, Chandresh Soni, District president Surendra Singh Khanuja, along with Kabaddi Association officials and sports enthusiasts.

A total of 34 districts’ Men and Women teams are participating in the championship, with more than 1,000 players competing. District Kabaddi Association Secretary Mukesh Jain said that teams from various districts of the State have arrived.

The inauguration of the championship is at 10:00 am on Friday at the stadium with Tribal Minister Babulal Kharadi as Chief Guest. Other guests include Cooperation Minister Gautam Dak, Rajya Sabha MP Chunnilal Garasiya, MP Manna Lal Rawat, City MLA Tarachand Jain, Rural MLA Phool Singh Meena, Bhanwar Singh Panwar, Zilla Pramukh Mamta Kanwar, Roshan Dangi, Ashok Joshi and Nirmal Matha.

According to Organising Secretary Jalam Chand Jain, two playing fields have been prepared for the tournament, and matches will be conducted on a knockout basis. Technical experts, including Satyanarayan Singh and Shyam Sundar Sharma, are overseeing the preparation of the fields.
