Udaipur, Nov 28, 2025: India’s T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav wants Australia as his opponent in the 2026 T20 World Cup final. Speaking at the World Cup schedule announcement event, Surya was asked which team he would prefer if India reaches the final. He replied without any hesitation — Australia.

His reason was clear: “I want revenge on that field.”

November 19, 2023 remains a painful memory. Pat Cummins’ Australia silenced over a lakh spectators at the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad. It broke the hearts of millions of Indian fans. The ICC announced the schedule of the 2026 T20 World Cup on Tuesday. According to the schedule, the final will be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 8, unless Pakistan reaches the final. Suryakumar Yadav is already dreaming of playing in that match.
