In the West Zone Inter University Volley Ball Tournament being played at North Gujarat University Patan, the MLSU team defeated DAV, Indore in the 4^thround and would be playing the qualifying match with MDSU, Ajmer.

MLSU beat DAV Indore 3-1 in the 4^th round match in the championship. The team will now meet MSDU Ajmer in the 5^thround, which is the qualifying round for the All India level. If they manage to beat the team from Ajmer, MLSU will be assured of the fourth place.

According to sources, the MLSU team, in the matches played earlier defeated Nagpur in the first round, SRT Nanded in the second round and Vikram University Ujjain in the third.

“Subsequent to winning the 5^th round the MLSU team will be assured of participation in the All India Inter University Volleyball, as top four teams qualify in the higher grade competitions as per norms”, said D. S. Chouhan, Secretary, MLSU Sports Board.
