Udaipur, April 18, 2025 - The Seventh Khelo India National Youth Games 2025 will be held in Bihar from May 4 to May 15. A total of 28 sports disciplines will be featured in the event, according to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

District Sports Officer Dr Mahesh Paliwal has said that selection trials for Rajasthan Boys and Girls teams for the Khelo India National Youth Games are being organised by the Rajasthan State Sports Council in Jaipur.

Trials for volleyball and mallakhamb as well as Girls’ football were held on April 17.

Other Trials

  • April 18 from 8:00 am, rugby (Boys and Girls) trials at Chaugan Stadium, Jaipur.
  • April 19 from 8:00 am, kabaddi (Boys and Girls) trials at Chaugan Stadium, Jaipur.
  • April 21 from 8:00 am, basketball (Boys) and sepak takraw (Boys and Girls) trials at Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.

Dr Paliwal said that to be eligible for the selection trials, the athlete’s date of birth must be on or after January 1, 2007. Eligible candidates will be those who have won medals at State-level competitions organised by the State Associations/Education Department/NSF/SGFI/CBSE, or have won or participated in national-level competitions.

Participants must carry the following documents at the time of the trials:

  • Domicile certificate of Rajasthan
  • Age proof
  • Aadhaar card
  • Passport
  • Grade 10 marksheet
  • Birth certificate
  • School bonafide certificate
  • Sports achievement certificates

The Seventh Khelo India Youth Games 2025 will feature 28 sports, including both Olympic, non-Olympic, and indigenous disciplines, with e-sports being included as a demonstration sport for the first time. It will be held across five cities in Bihar - Patna, Gaya, Rajgir, Begusarai and Bhagalpur. New Delhi will host certain events like shooting, gymnastics and track cycling. 

The mascot of the games will be Gajsimha which stands for the power of the elephant and heart of the lion. It has been derived from the archival heritage of the Pala dynasty from Nalanda and Bodhgaya.
