Udaipur and Jaipur Hold Upper Hand on Day 1

In a State Level Cricket Tournament organized under the banner of Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) managed by Udaipur District Cricket Association (UDCA), matches of first and second quarter-final were played between Udaipur and Sawai Madhopur, and Jaipur and Jaisalmer, respectively at the Field Club and M.B. College-A ground.

In a State Level Cricket Tournament organized under the banner of Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) managed by Udaipur District Cricket Association (UDCA), matches of first and second quarter-final were played between Udaipur and Sawai Madhopur, and Jaipur and Jaisalmer, respectively at the Field Club and M.B. College-A ground.

In the first quarter final played between Udaipur and Sawai Madhopur, the match was delayed due to wet out field; where later Sawai Madhopur batting first managed to put on board 131 runs after losing 10 wickets and team Udaipur will play tomorrow on 15th June.

While in the second quarter final, Jaipur batting first gave a mammoth total of 377 runs with brilliant knock of 118 runs from Captain Manendra Singh, which was well supported by unbeaten 110 runs of Nishant Singh and Shubam Sharma 55 (not out). On the stumps of day one, Jaisalmer lost one wicket on initial total of 6 runs. Cheta Ram and Utkarsh of Jaisalmer took wicket each for his team.

According to Rajendra Kewalya, Spokesperson, UDCA, in the first quarter final, team Udaipur qualified as winner from Group-A of Elite and Sawai Madhopur as winner of Plate Group-B; while in the second quarter final, Jaipur is a winner of Elite Group-C and Jaisalmer is winner of Plate Group-D.

In this 2 days match played simultaneously at Field Club and M.B.-A ground, the winning teams will face each other in 3-day semi-final match, while the final will be played at Rajsamand.
