Udaipur District Chess Association has announced the names of Vrisahank Chauran and Aayush Bhojak to represent Rajasthan at the National Junior Chess Championship that will be held from 22 July till 24 July. Further, Dakshita Kumawat and Charvi Patidar have made it to team Rajasthan for the National Women’s Chess Championship, which will be held from 22-24 July.

Vrishank, who is a student of Class 9 at Vidhyabhawan School and Aayush, a student of Maharana Mewar Public School, stood first and second respectively at the recently concluded Rajasthan Junior Chess Championship held on 18-19 July.

At the Rajasthan Women’s Chess Championship held in the same period, Dakshita Kumawat and Charvi Patidar, both students of Class 8 at Vidhyabhawan, Udaipur, stood First and Second positions respectively.

All the four have been trained by Aayush Jain, who is the trainer at Vidhyabhawan Chess School, Udaipur.

Aditi Kothari, President of the Udaipur District Chess Association also informed that Dhruv Porwal and Arun Kataria of DPS and St Anthony’s School took third and fourth place. Harsh Vardhan of Bikaner and Aashi Upadhyay of Jaipur took the fifth and sixth positions respectively at the Rajasthan Junior Chess event.

In the women’s category, the third place was captured by Kazmi Danish Sheen from Ajmer.
